East Side Toronto Neighbourhoods

Upper Beaches

This quaint and village-like neighbourhood has seen many changes over last few years – and it’s not slowing down! Keep your eye out for new developments on Kingston Road and the surrounding area if you’re looking to call Upper Beaches home.

St. Lawrence

The St. Lawrence neighbourhood is home to some of the city’s most stunning architecture, like the St. Lawrence Market Complex and Gooderham Building. It’s just on the cusp of Downtown, but has the laidback feel of an East End community.

Riverdale

Parks with picture-worthy views of the city, highly-rated schools, and a strong community feel make Riverdale one of the most sought-after East End neighbourhoods.

Leslieville

A funky vibe and majorly creative population have Leslieville pinned as one of the East End’s coolest neighbourhoods. Take some time to explore Queen Street East and you’ll see all of its one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants.

East York

East York is a fantastic option for Toronto’s first-time buyers. It’s more affordable than a lot of the city, plus it has easily accessible transit and new restaurants opening constantly.

Danforth

No neighbourhood in Toronto’s East End does culture or food quite like the Danforth’s Greektown! Add in the convenient Bloor-Danforth subway line access and it’s easy to see why so many love it here.

Corktown

This neighbourhood is a perfect representation of East Side Toronto’s future. You’ll find modern developments and rec centres, as well as easy access to the highway and waterfront.

Cabbagetown

Cabbagetown, named after the cabbage that Irish immigrants grew in their yards here in the 1840s, holds onto its history while boasting great restaurants and charming attractions like Riverdale Farm.

Beaches

With a lakefront location, highly-rated schools, and a genuinely unique community, the Beaches neighbourhood feels like a world unto itself.
